How to Purchase your Bulgarian Property

Choose your ideal property based on your criteria including location, price, facilities, views and size. You can do this by browsing our website or by calling us on 0800 1077 215 to discuss your specific requirements and carry out a thorough search.

 

Once you have chosen the ideal property for you, call us to confirm its availability and take the property immediately off the market. Each property is reserved upon payment of a deposit (this is usually 1000 Euros/700 GBP).

 

You will receive confirmation of your property reservation including details of Bulgarian lawyers you may wish to use to check your contracts and details of how to make the most of your currency exchange.

 

The property is now reserved in your name whilst your preliminary purchase contracts are drawn by the developer and any other details are finalised.

 

You will receive a copy of your contract (usually electronically) for you to read through and confirm the details with your lawyer. Once you have advised us that you are happy with your contract, 2 signed copies will be sent to you by courier. Sign both copies and return one directly to the developer. Make the first installment payment to the developer at this time.

 

Throughout the construction of your property (if it is off-plan), you will be informed regularly of progress and advised in advance of due payments.

 

Upon completion of your property you must go to Bulgaria to sign the Notary Deed (or if you prefer not to travel this can be arranged through a power of attorney). The property is now registered in your name.

 

Some tax registrations are required at the local municipality immediately after purchase. We will be happy to accompany you!
